O Pression, suspendue au toit de protection du pressoir, est une cascade de volumes tentaculaires qui entoure le haut du monument et vient s’enrouler autour des vis sans fin avant d’en remplir le bassin. Ces longs modules protéiformes de ficelle de sisal (fibre de cactus) travaillés au crochet libre (improvisation autour du volume sans patronage), donnent l’illusion d’une végétalisation du site, d’une invasion énigmatique. Comme dans les temples Shintoïste au Japon et inspiré par cette philosophie qui invite à vénérer la nature, cette végétation textile transnaturaliste reprends le pouvoir et efface par le recouvrement les traces laissées par l’homme.
O Pression, suspended from the protective roof of the wine press, is a cascade of sprawling volumes that surrounds the top of the monument and wraps around the endless screws before filling the basin. These long, protean modules of sisal twine (cactus fibre), worked using free crochet (improvisation around the volume with no pattern), give the illusion of vegetation on the site, of an enigmatic invasion of the environment.As in the Shinto temples of Japan, and inspired by this philosophy that invites us to venerate nature, this transnaturalist textile vegetation takes back the power and erases, by covering, the traces left by man.
01Jacques Perdigues est un artiste multidisciplinaire. Diplômé de l’école nationale supérieure d’arts appliqués Duperré, il explore la création dans divers univers (mode, théâtre, cinéma ) et se nourrit de collaborations prestigieuses avant de développer son propre travail artistique sous formes de mises en scènes, performances, peintures et installations/sculptures. En réaction à la situation de notre planète, face au changement climatique et inspiré par le courant transhumaniste, Jacques Perdigues transforme son atelier en laboratoire et invente le « transnaturalisme ». L’idée est de modifier, augmenter et accroître notre attraction à la nature qui nous entoure, en révélant certains éléments dans le paysage pour souligner leur existence, inviter à prendre conscience de l’importance de chacun dans un écosystème.
Jacques Perdigues is a multidisciplinary artist. A graduate of the Ecole Nationale Supérieure d'Arts Appliqués Duperré, he explored design in a variety of fields (fashion, theatre, film) and drew on prestigious collaborations before developing his own artistic work in the form of stage productions, performances, paintings and installations/sculptures. In response to the state of our planet, climate change and the transhumanist movement, Jacques Perdigues transformed his studio into a laboratory and invented 'transnaturalism'. The idea is to modify, augment and increase our attraction to the natural world around us, by revealing certain elements in the landscape to emphasise their existence, and to raise awareness of the importance of each individual in an ecosystem.
