Nous sommes dans la Vallée du Surmelin, au cœur du village du Breuil. L'installation sera située devant l'église Saint-Martin.

L'église Saint Martin de Le Breuil comprend une tour carrée percée d'arcs géminés et surmontée d'un clocher couvert d'une toiture en sifflet. La nef est du 12ème siècle. Le bas-côté sud a été supprimé. Le transept et le chœur ont été rebâtis au 16ème siècle et voûtés d'ogives. L'église du Breuil possède une chaire de style Louis XV et deux tableaux non signés, l'un présentant Saint Martin, l'autre une Assomption. Les dossiers des bancs du chœur présentent quinze médaillons d'une sculpture remarquable de la première période de la Renaissance. Dans le transept se trouvent des vitraux du 16ème siècle qui racontent des scènes d' Évangile. L'église possédait jadis une statue de la Vierge à l'Enfant (16ème siècle) que l'on peut voir aujourd'hui au musée de Cluny.

The Church of Saint Martin in Le Breuil features a square tower pierced by paired arches and topped by a belfry with a sloping roof. The nave dates from the 12th century; the south aisle has been removed. The transept and chancel were rebuilt in the 16th century and feature rib vaulting. The church houses a Louis XV-style pulpit and two unsigned paintings: one depicting Saint Martin and the other the Assumption. The backs of the chancel pews feature fifteen medallions displaying remarkable early Renaissance carving. Stained-glass windows in the transept depict scenes from the Gospels. The church once housed a 16th-century statue of the Virgin and Child, which can now be seen at the Cluny Museum.
